Rocker Bash Contest
My MGR group wanted to have a Rocker Bash contest. One of our members graciously donated all the rocking chairs and we all went to work using our imaginations to see how we could best "bash" the rocker. |
I decided that I wanted to make a little scene around my rocker and found this small, but perfect display case in my collection. |
I ended up doing a patriotic theme and was able to use a lot of swap items to compliment my rocker. |
Here's the inside. |
I ended up doing a crackle finish in white and navy blue with gold underneath and used burgundy red accents for the rocker. I made no-sew pads and then the real fun began - adding all the accesories! |
Do you see the Adorable patriotic Raggedy Ann doll perched atop the rocker chair? It was made by Carolyn P.
The beautiful flowers were made by Bobbi M. All I had to do was paint the pot with some red & white stripes and it fit in beautifully! |
I believe all of the food was made by Bobbi M. as well - except maybe the basket of Fried Chicken. Jaime F. made the amazing bald eagle teapot and Diann S. crafted the gorgeous table. |

The patriotic party hat was my idea. I thought it would look perfect sitting on the chair. In the background, you can see my fence-post Uncle Sam. |
