Quilt Rack

Materials Needed:
2 peices of Balsa wood cut out using this pattern piece
1/8" wide dowel stick cut into 5 2" long pieces
Dremel with 1/8" drill bit
Paintbrushe
Wood Stain (I used Walnut)
Gloss Sealer/Varnish
Aleene's Tacky Glue
Sandpaper (P240)
Ruler
Pencil
Step#1 - Cut all wood pieces using Dremel with cut-off disc #409, craft knife or saw. Remember to wear protective ear gear:) Using 1/8" drill bit drill holes in the marked spots. Lightly sand any rough edges with sandpaper.
Step#2 - Using a soft paintbrush apply stain to all the pieces. (If you are planning to paint the quilt rack, then you can skip to step#4 and paint the rack after it is assembled.
Step#3 - When the stain is dry apply two coats of your choice of sealer.
Step#4 - Lay one of the quilt rack end pieces on it’s side and put a little dab of tacky glue on the end of one of the 2” dowel pieces. Insert into one of the holes. Repeat this step until all five pieces are into the one side. Make sure the dowels are straight and let dry.
Step#5 - Place a dab of glue on each end of the five dowels and place into the other quilt rack end piece. Make sure it is secure and let dry. You’re done!
