Dream Bathroom

This roombox was made for my very dear friend, Jenn. She works too hard and I thought that she needed a nice little dream bathroom to relax in. I found the perfect shelf at a garage sale for $5.00. I made a flower arrangement for the bottom shelf.
This has probably been my favorite roombox to work on so far. I've made almost everything in this roombox. There are a few items that I received in swaps and a few bought items that I refurbished. I created the wallpaper and flooring from some patterns that I liked. If you like them, you can download them from my Printables pages. You can also find out how to make the mirror over the sink by checking out my Bathroom Mirror tutorial.
Here's a close-up of the left side of the bathroom. The tub I found at a flea market for $1.00 and spray painted it white. I used beads for the handles and the spicket is made from the wire that is used tie kid's toys to the cardboard boxes. This was my first attempt at making curtains..LOL They didn't turn out as I expected, but after 3 tries I figured whatever I ended up with was going on the wall. Also, in this picture is my second try at working with polymer clay. I made the shampoo bottles and the rubber ducky from Sculpey. I then made labels for them and decoupaged them on.
By the toilet is a darling little basket made from one of Barb Lewis's kits. I filled it with pink washcloths and some bottles made from beads. On the wall are some pictures of my boys and one of Jenn & I. They are "framed" with buttons.
Here is a hutch that I got at the Rag shop. I've been wanting to do the crackle affect for a while now. I love how it turned out. Some of the perfume bottles were from a swap that I received. The tissue box is a printable that I created. It has outhouses on it. If you like it you can find it on my printables page. You can also see the toilet in this picture. It's made from a little shampoo bottle turned upside down, a clip-on earring for the lid and part of an old PUR water filter for the base. I painted all the pieces white and sealed them to give it a shiny look. Then I glued it all together and added the handle.
The sink is the my first attempt at building furniture. It's my own design. I made it from balsa wood using my dremel to smooth the edges. The actual sink is from an old flashlight. The pretty floral arrangement is a swap item I received. The rest of the items I made from Sculpey.
I just couldn't resist making up some items to go under the sink. The Tampax is from Boops site and the Scott toilet tissue is a printable that I made.
This is probably my favorite piece in the entire bathroom. I got the little wreath at Michael's. They were on sale 4 for $1.00. It's decorated with paper punch flowers, tiny beads and curled gold beading wire.
