| Step#1 - Using wire cutters, cut a length of wire 5 1/2" long. | |||||||
| Step#2 - Measure about 3" up the wire and at that point wrap the wire around the 1/8" dowel rod. | |||||||
| Step#3 - Take the "O" or circle (where you wrapped the wire around dowel rod) and twist it once. The wires should be wrapped securely now. Set aside. | |||||||
| Step#4 - Using the fabric cutting scissors, cut one square of fabric 1" wide by 1/2" long and one square 1" wide by 1/4" long. | |||||||
| Step#5 - Glue the fabric squares together wrong sides together with the bottom edges lined up. Once it is dry use the fabric scissors to trim the edges of the squares. | |||||||
| Step#6 - Place the top flap of the the fabric square around the wire flag arm and place a small line of glue along the edge. Press lightly until it is dry. | |||||||
| Step#7 - Take the 1/8" dowel rod and curl the end of the wire flag arm up. | |||||||

| I'm sure there are a ton of ways to make cute little flags for this flag holder. I'm hoping to work up some cross-stitched ones. If you come up with a neat idea for making flags, I'd love to hear about it and see a pic email me.:) | |||||||
