Fall Vignette

I had so much fun working on this Fall scene. It went together very quickly as most items I received from swaps. The base is a simple unfinished plaque that I bought from ACE hardware for $0.99. I stained it Walnut. I covered the top with a layer of Mod Podge. While it was still wet, I sprinkled the dirt path (brown sand) and added the landscaping material (sawdust).Then I just tipped it over and let the excess fall off. It turned out pretty good - just what I was hoping for.

Here is a view from the top.The bench was dirtied up. I painted it white and then went over it with the Walnut stain. I wiped most of it off.
Here is the back. I added a simply strand of styrofoam flowers and some more goodies received in swaps. In fact, the only things that I actually made in this entire scene are the decorated broom and the gourd birdhouse.
