Christmas Present Roombox
Here is something that I have always wanted to do - a Present box! Actually, I originally wanted to do a break-away box, but was too daunted by the measuring and trying to get it all to fit together perfectly. This was a good option for me. It only took me 2 quick days to put this together. The top and bottom are from 1/2" thick foamboard and the walls and edge of the top is from 1/4" foamboard. What I love about using the foamboard is that is cuts easily with a sharp exacto knife and secures a good bond with the hot glue gun. I anchored the walls to each other and the base using hot glue and straight pins. The top comes off for full viewing and it is such a neat surprise to see kids walk up to a wrapped present only to turn it around and find a miniature room!

I originally wanted to put a decorated tree in there, but it did not arrive in time. Perhaps, it was providence. If I'd had a tree in that small space, I don't think I could have gotten to showcase as many miniature goodies;) |

Almost of all these fantastic creations are from my MGR swap buddies. Mary Ann made the Nutcracker, Carolyn made the snowman making a snowman, the Santa shelf sitter and the poinsettia vase. Diana F. made the miniature gold & green tree. Kerrie sent me the supplies to make the decorated bottle brush tree.
